Ewing, N.J. / Philadelphia, Pa. – The Stevens Institute of Technology men's track and field team sent multiple competitors to the TCNJ-hosted Rick McCorkle Invitational and a 4x400 relay team to the renowned Penn Relays on Friday.
From the Track (and Field)
Luis Amezquita ran a personal-best 52.15 in the 400 meters and
Eduardo Neto clocked a season-best 53.39.
Divyesh Narravula was the team's top finisher in the 800, running a personal-best 2:02.23;
Max Thorn was right behind him in 2:03.13 and
Wesley Schlimer ran a season-best 2:05.96.
Thorn did set a PR of his own in the 1500, finishing sixth in the event in 4:08.75, 0.49 seconds off a Top-5 finish.
Among other high finishes,
Marcus Hochegger was 11
th in the pole vault, clearing 3.55 meters, and
Konstantinos Georgiadis took 11th in the 110 hurdles, running 16.61.
At the Penn Relays,
Steven Longo,
Christopher Reyes,
Ian Rodriguez, and
Danny Jutras, clocked 3:24.46 in the 4x400 relay, finishing in sixth, less than a second off a Top-5 finish. Jutras split 49.75, Reyes split 50.31, Rodriguez split an even 532.00, and Longo split 52.36.
