Lexington, Ky. – The Stevens Institute of Technology women's volleyball program again showed their strength in the classroom, earning the American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA) Academic Team Award in recognition for their impressive classroom performance, the organization announced Thursday. 

The Ducks have now won the award, given to teams who post at least a year-long 3.3 grade-point average on a 4.0 scale, 11 straight years. Only 70 D-III teams have earned the award at least 10 straight seasons, only 60 have won it 11 or more straight seasons, and only King's and Widener have longer streaks among schools in the MAC Freedom and MAC Commonwealth.

More than 1,400 collegiate and high school teams were honored with the accolade this year.
