Coach Aldins says: "John is progressing nicely with his overall development and has the physical tools to be an offensive threat for us. He will be competing for at bats in the outfield this spring."

2018: appeared in 18 games and started 1, while posting a .167 batting average...collected his first collegiate hit, a single, in a pinch hit appearance vs. Drew (2/21)…pinch ran and stole a key base vs. Arcadia (3/24)…pinch ran and scored a run in the 2nd game of a conference matchup vs. SUNY-Canton (3/31)…pinch ran and scored the game winning run in a comeback victory in a conference game vs. Houghton (4/6)…had a double and scored a run in his only plate appearance in the 2nd game of a conference doubleheader vs. Utica (4/28)…came in as a pinch runner and went 0-for-0 (2 R, BB) vs. #27 St. John Fisher (5/4).

2017: appeared in 6 games as a hitter...drew a walk in his only plate appearance vs. Huntingdon (3/15)…came in as a pinch runner and stole a base in the 2nd game a doubleheader vs. Houghton (3/25)…drew a walk in his only plate appearance vs. Farmingdale State (4/12).

Personal: son of Jay and Elaine Hamill…has an older sister Morgan…planning on majoring in Mechanical Engineering…picked Stevens because of its excellent academics, athletics, and great location next to New York City…top MLB team and player are the Los Angeles Angels and Mike Trout…favorite books are the The Harry Potter Series and top movie is “Interstellar.”
