Biography

Coach Aldins says: John has been a terrific leader-by-example over his career at Stevens and we expect more of the same in 2012. We look to see him compete for innings out of the bullpen in 2012.

2011:
appeared in three games all out of the bullpen...posted a 0-0 record with a 23.14 ERA over 2.1 innings of work...threw a scoreless frame (0 BB, K) vs. CCNY (3/20).

2010: appeared in eight games all out of the bullpen...posted a 0-0 record with a 12.00 ERA over 9.0 innings of work...threw a scoreless frame (H, K, 0 BB) in the first game of a doubleheader vs. Staten Island (2/21)...did not give up a run over 1.1 innings of work (H, K, 0 BB) vs. Salem State (3/18)...threw two scoreless innings of relief (0 H, K, BB) in the first game of a conference doubleheader vs. Ithaca (4/2)...did not give up an earned run in an innings work (H, R, K, 0 BB) vs. Gwynedd-Mercy (4/7).

High School: played for coach Jerry Smith at JFK Memorial…competed for the South River Braves summer ball program under coach Marc Johnson…named to the All-Middlesex County Third-Team and also earned Middlesex County All Star status…attended NJIT’s summer prospect camp…favorite aspect about Stevens is the opportunity to play college baseball…played three years of basketball and one year of bowling in high school.
