Coach Aldins says: Shane is a top-of-the-lineup type of threat for us and has excellent speed on the bases. He is a very hard worker and is the leading candidate to patrol centerfield for the Ducks in 2012.

2011: appeared in 14 games and started nine posting a .138 batting average...went 1-for-3 with a double vs. Amherst (3/15)...went 1-for-4 (R, 2B, 2 RBI, BB) vs. CCNY (3/20)...1-for-3 in the second game of a conference doubleheader vs. RIT (5/7).

High School: earned National and French Honor Society recognition…played for coach Carm LaDuca at Easton…played summer ball for Easton Senior Legion under coach Mickey Corpora…Eddie Snyder Award winner…participated in the Blue Grey Showcase and also attended the Lehigh, Bucknell, Bloomsburg, and Saint Joseph’s Prospect Camps…also competed in Track and Field.

Personal: son of Mike and Pam Raymond…has a brother Brady…majoring in Bio Medical Engineering…born 6/23/92…participates in Stevens’ CO-OP program and works for Burpee Materials Technology…favorite aspect of Stevens is its location…favorite MLB team and player are the Texas Rangers and Michael Young…top book is You Can Observe A Lot by Watching by Yogi Berra and Dave Kaplan...enjoys working out, eating, and sleeping.
