Jennifer Hanks joined the field hockey staff as the program's second-ever full-time assistant coach in April 2019. In her first season on Castle Point, Hanks helped Stevens clinch a spot in the MAC Freedom Tournament in their first year in the conference.
The Niskayuna, New York native arrives on Castle Point after a three-year stint as an assistant at Franklin & Marshall College. During her time with the Diplomats, Hanks was actively involved in all facets of the program, including practice instruction, drill design, digital game breakdown, social media and recruiting.
During her time on the sidelines, Franklin & Marshall made three trips to the NCAA Tournament, including a run to the Final Four in 2017. The Diplomats' staff was named South Region Coaching Staff of the Year in 2017 and under Hanks' tutelage, five student-athletes garnered National Field Hockey Coaches Association All-America honors, eight were tabbed All-Region and multiple players earned All-Centennial Conference distinctions.
Prior to her time in Lancaster, Hanks was a four-year member of the Skidmore College Field Hockey team, serving as team captain in 2015. A standout on the back line, Hanks was a three-time All-Liberty League player, a three-time All-North Atlantic Region selection and an All-American in her junior and senior campaigns.Â
Hanks received her Bachelor of Science degree in Management and Business from Skidmore in 2016.
