Marguerite Chavez returns to her alma mater in 2017 as a volunteer assistant coach for the Stevens Institute of Technology field hockey program. The Ducks’ all-time points leader, Chavez competed on Castle Point from 2009-13 and racked up 53 goals, a program-best 44 assists and a school-record 149 points in her stellar career.
She was the Empire 8 Player of the Year as a senior in 2013, and was a three-time all-conference selection. Also a standout in the classroom, she was a NFHCA Academic All-American in 2012 and 2013 as well.
The Oceanport, New Jersey native was a NFHCA Division III Senior All-Star and is in the Stevens field hockey record book a whopping 38 times.
