Brian DiBetta begins his fourth year as an assistant coach to the Stevens Institute of Technology men’s lacrosse staff for the upcoming 2017-18 academic year.

DiBetta is responsible for working with goalies, defenders in addition to the faceoff specialists.

A familiar face to the Empire 8 Conference, DiBetta graduated from Ithaca College in 2012 with a Bachelor of Science degree in business administration and his MBA from Stevens in 2017.

The Goldens Bridge, N.Y. native was an assistant for Scranton for two seasons where he was assigned defensive and face-off coaching responsibilities as well as a recruiting coordinator. DiBetta helped the Royals to an overall record of 18-14 in his two-year stint to go along with a 9-2 mark in the Landmark Conference.

As a student-athlete at Ithaca, DiBetta was a team captain his senior season and played in 55 career games which concluded with 217 face-off wins, 76 ground balls, 23 goals and 21 assists for 44 points. He was named Ithaca’s Sportsman of the Year by the Empire 8 in 2012 and was an all-conference performer in 2011. DiBetta received Dean’s List honors from Ithaca during his senior year and also landed on the Empire 8’s President’s List.
