Devin Rensing enters his fifth season at the helm of the Stevens Institute of Technology men’s soccer team in 2015 having posted 67 wins in his first four years. Rensing's squads have captured Empire 8 Conference titles in all four seasons, and advanced in the NCAA Tournament every year.

Under Rensing’s leadership, 42 players have garnered All-Empire 8 honors, including 23 First Team selections and four Players of the Year. The program has also churned out 11 NSCAA All-Region choices, three Eastern Collegiate Athletic Conference All-Stars and two All-Americans.

Individually, Rensing has been named Empire 8 Coach of the Year twice.

Rensing has continued the Ducks run of dominance since taking over prior to the 2011 season, winning the program’s 12th consecutive conference championship in 2014 en route to his sixth NCAA Tournament win.

After dropping the first two matches of the 2014 season, the Ducks rebounded to take seven of their next eight. Stevens was especially dominant against E8 foes, winning by a combined score of 12-0 over its final four matches including the Empire 8 Championship. Harrison Kane’s efforts on defense were rewarded by being named the E8 Player of the Year.

Defense dominated on the 2013 team as Rensing's squad outscored their opponents 55-9 while allowing more than one goal just once. The Ducks went undefeated in the Empire 8 before reaching the second round of the NCAA Tournament, and housed the conference’s player of the year in Carson Pryor.

The 2012 squad reached the Round of 16 in the NCAA Championship behind a nine-game scoreless streak to end the season in which the Ducks did not give up a goal for over 1,000 minutes.  The team would finish the season with 14 total shutouts and rank third in the nation in goals-against average (.040), having allowed more than one goal only once all season, in a 7-2 victory over Wilkes University.

Rensing’s first season, in 2011, saw the team reach the quarterfinals of the NCAA Championship for the first time since the program’s national final runner-up finish in 2008.  Stevens ended the season on an 18-game unbeaten streak over which the Ducks posted 16 straight wins and a +28 goal difference.

The St. Louis, Mo. native previously served as an assistant coach at Harvard University and Colgate University, where he helped lead the Raiders to four Patriot League titles and a Top 25 national ranking, including No. 1 in the National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA) Mid-Atlantic Region poll for two weeks.  His squads amassed a 37-26-11 record (18-5-5 in Patriot League play) and earned over a dozen All-Conference honors.

Rensing was also an assistant coach at the University of Central Arkansas during the program’s transition from Division II to Division I and at Loyola University of Chicago.  He has worked with the Arkansas Olympic Development program since February 2006, acting as head coach of the ’94 boys state team.

A 2001 graduate of Eastern Illinois University with a bachelor’s degree in sociology, Rensing played two seasons for the Panthers, earning Third Team All-Missouri Valley Conference honors as team captain.  He played his first two years of collegiate soccer at Forest Park Community College.
