Michael Mueller heads into his second season as an assistant coach with the Stevens Institute of Technology men’s soccer team in 2008. Last year, he worked with the Ducks to obtain their first-ever title from the Empire 8 as well as a fifth-consecutive bid to the NCAA Tournament.

Prior to Stevens, Mueller served for eight seasons as the associate head men’s soccer coach at Felician College in Lodi, N.J. During his term there, Mueller helped guide the Golden Falcons to a pair of conference and regional championships. Subsequently, Mueller was vital in the production of All-American Kwame Telemaque, who was the first player to receive the award in school history.

Aside from his soccer duties, Mueller served as the associate head coach of the women’s basketball program at Felician. On the court, he assisted the coaching staff in leading the team to five consecutive Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference tournament appearances. He also lent a hand in the manufacturing of one All-American (Tysel Bosman).

Apart from coaching, Mueller was a member of the Maryland Army National Guard, which was deployed to Afghanistan in support of Operation Enduring Freedom in 2003. During his time overseas, Mueller was responsible for providing intelligence reports and operational support as well as coordinating efforts with CIA assets pertaining to the intelligence and apprehension of known terrorists.

As a student-athlete, Mueller competed for the men’s basketball and soccer squads in their inaugural seasons at Felician.

Mueller holds a B.A. in Elementary Education with a concentration in Fine Art from Felician.
