Biography

Coach Aldins says: "Jack has continued to move forward with his development. He will be competing for innings out of the bullpen and at bats of the bench this spring. Jack is also one of our better defensive outfielders and could make an impact with his glove at various points."

2018: appeared in 19 games and started 2, while posting a .167 batting average...went 1-for-3 with a walk vs. #17/#12 Johns Hopkins (3/11)…came in as a defensive replacement and had a single in his only at-bat vs. Ithaca (3/26).

2017: appeared in 4 games, posting a .250 batting average...collected his first collegiate base hit, a single, vs. #40/19 Johns Hopkins (3/12).
 
High School: earned National and Spanish Honor Society honors…earned President’s Education Award for outstanding academic excellence and Administrator Honor Scholar Award…winner of the Calvary Christian Warrior Award…played varsity baseball for coach Greg Olsen at Calvary Christian High School…named captain senior year…played for coaches Mark Guthrie and Jose Velez of the Florida Burn…attended Headfirst Honor Roll, Showball, Perfect Game WWBA, Perfect Game BCS and Perfect Game World Series in Florida.
 
Personal: son of Tim and Kris Bodner…dad was a swimmer and played water polo at St. Peter’s University…has a brother, Nick who plays baseball at Johns Hopkins University…planning on majoring in Quantitative Finance…picked Stevens because it allows him to obtain a valuable education while continuing his baseball career…top MLB team and player are the Tampa Bay Rays and Kevin Kiermaier…favorite book is “Paradise Lost” and top movie is The Big Short…lists golfing, playing guitar, paddle boarding, boating, and jet skiing as his favorite hobbies.
