Head coach Pat Dorywalski will return Austin Voges as an assistant men’s volleyball coach for the upcoming 2013 season. Entering his third season on the Stevens sideline, Voges will look to help the Ducks reach the NCAA Division III Tournament after narrowly missing out on an opportunity in 2012 with a 28-8 overall record.
In addition to his responsibilities with the men’s varsity program, Voges will serve as the head coach of the Ducks’ club volleyball team. In its sixth year of existence, the Stevens club team was formed in the fall of 2004 following the merger of two separate club teams. A National Intramural-Recreational Sports Association qualified club team, the Stevens Volleyball Club is a member of the Middle Atlantic Collegiate Volleyball Conference North East Division, and regularly competes in intercollegiate scrimmages and matches, as well as both school-hosted and regional/national tournaments.
Prior to Stevens, Voges served as a coach for the Long Island Volleyball Club (LIVBC). Serving as the Boys 15 national team coach in 2004-05, he took the reins of the Boys 17 Regional club in 2006. Since 2007 Voges has served as the Boys 16 National team coach. Voges has also served as the head junior varsity boys coach and assistant varsity coach at Lindenhurst High School in Lindenhurst, N.Y. for the last two years.
Earning his Bachelors of Science in physical education from Long Island University – CW Post in 2005, Voges has also recently served as a court coach and talent evaluator at the George Mason University Fred Chao High Performance and USA Volleyball High Performance Camps.
