Stevens Institute of Technology head women’s basketball coach Megan Haughey announced the hiring of Jill Conroy as an assistant coach in July 2019. Conroy was most recently an assistant coach at Goldey-Beacom College.

Conroy spent two seasons with the Lightning and played a key role in the development of two Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) All-Conference players: Amanda McGrogan and Britani Bryson. The Brooklyn, New York native was also charged with preparing scouting reports, which included personnel profiles, play calls and implementing a strategic game plan. Additionally, Conroy was a position coach for the guards and managed the team’s social media accounts.

Prior to entering the coaching ranks at Goldey-Beacom, Conroy was a standout guard at Holy Family University, scoring 1,349 points over 116 career games (and starts). She led the Tigers to consecutive NCAA appearances in 2015 and 2016 and helped guide the program to its sixth CACC championship in 2015 and was named to the CACC Women’s Basketball All-Tournament Team for her efforts. A Second Team All-CACC honoree in 2017, Conroy finished her career as the fourth-leading scorer in program history and ranked second in both career assists and made three-point field goals.

Conroy graduated from Holy Family with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Sports Management and Marketing.
