Stevens improves to 16-11 overall and 4-3 in Skyline Conference play. The 16 wins are tied for the second-most in a season in the 18-year history of the Stevens women's volleyball program. The 1992 squad finished the season with a 16-11 record. Kings Point, which suffered its first Skyline loss, falls to 6-1 in the conference and 10-12 overall.

"We played as a team and we believed in ourselves," said head coach J.J. O'Connell. "This was a total team effort - everyone contributed. It was a nice win."

After dropping the opening game, the Ducks came back and won the second and third games. The Mariners won the fourth game to force a deciding fifth game. With the score tied at 10-10 in the fifth game, sophomore middle hitter Rachel Ostroff (North Miami, Fla./Miami Country Day) had a kill and a block solo on successive points to give Stevens the lead. The Ducks then scored a point off the serve of Margeritte Abdelkodoos (North Arlington, N.J./North Arlington) to open up a 13-10 lead.

Joyce broke the school record for assists in a match for the third time this season. Her 49 assists eclipsed her previous high of 42 against New Jersey City on October 4 at the Hunter Invitational.

Freshman Micki Biltz (Lakewood, Ohio/Lakewood) added 13 kills and 10 digs. Abdelkodoos had 11 kills and 13 digs. Ostroff had eight kills with no errors in 31 attempts. She also had a team-leading 16 digs. Senior Dominique Gonzalez (Verona, N.J./Verona) had 10 kills with just two errors in 33 attempts.
