HOBOKEN, N.J. – Junior forward Josh Ottinger (Schnecksville, Pa./Parkland) scored three goals and senior midfielder John Quintanilla (Phoenix, Ariz./University) added a goal and two assists as the No. 14 Stevens men's soccer team earned a 7-0 win over Manhattanville College on Wednesday night in a battle for first place in the Skyline Conference.

Stevens (13-1-2, 7-0 Skyline) won its 12th straight game and took a major step toward clinching the top seed in the Skyline Conference Tournament.  Manhattanville drops to 12-6-1 overall and 7-1 in the conference.

Stevens took command, scoring four goals in a span of 16 minutes early in the opening half.  Ottinger scored the first two goals with Quintanilla assisting both times.  His first goal, at the 7:06 mark, came on a drive to the upper left corner from the top of the penalty area.  Ottinger then tapped in a cross from Quintanilla just 2:16 later.

Sophomore midfielder Chris Barsky scored an unassisted goal at 21:40 and then converted a penalty kick at 22:40 after he was pulled down from behind in the penalty area.  Sophomore midfielder Brian Marks (Yardley, Pa./Pennsbury) finished off a pass from freshman Nick Gkionis (Jackson, N.J./Jackson Memorial) in the 39th minute to give the Ducks a 5-0 lead at halftime.

Ottinger completed the hat trick at 63:15 off an assist from junior Adam Kalbermatten (Allentown, Pa./Central Catholic) and Quintanilla scored an unassisted goal ten minutes later to put Stevens ahead 7-0.

Stevens held a 23-6 advantage in shots and a 5-1 edge in corner kicks.  Three Stevens goalkeepers - senior Sean Stevenson (Scottsdale, Ariz./Brophy College Prep), freshman Chris Celentano (Newton, N.J./Newton) and sophomore Jorge DaSilva (Harrison, N.J./Harrison) - combined for the shutout without making a save.  A.J. Kretschmer made four save for Manhattanville.

Stevens returns to action on Saturday, October 25, when it hosts Mount St. Mary College in a 1 p.m. game at DeBaun Field.  The Ducks can clinch the top seed in the Skyline Conference tournament with a win on Saturday.
