HOBOKEN, N.J. – Junior forward Josh Ottinger (Schnecksville, Pa./Parkland) scored three goals in the first half to lead 14th-ranked Stevens Institute of Technology to an 8-0 win over Centenary College on Saturday in a Skyline Conference men’s soccer game at DeBaun Field.

Stevens earned its 15th straight win to improve to 16-1-2 overall.  The Ducks also wrapped up a perfect season in Skyline play with a 9-0 conference mark.  Stevens, the top seed in the four-team Skyline Tournament, will host St. Joseph’s-Patchogue on Wednesday at 7 p.m. in the semifinals.  Centenary closes out its season at 3-15-1 overall and 1-8 in the conference.

With three goals in the first half, Ottinger tied his single season record for goals with 19 set during his freshman season in 2001.  Giuseppe Incitti also had 19 goals as a senior last season.  Ottinger, who also has nine assists and 47 points, broke his single-season mark for points (45).  He scored just 3:15 into the game when he tapped in a cross from sophomore Collin Clatanoff (Phoenix, Ariz./Desert Vista).  He added goals in the 21st minute and 39th minute to put the Ducks ahead 3-0.  Ottinger departed in the 42nd minute and did not play in the second half.

Junior forward Adam Kalbermatten (Allentown, Pa./Central Catholic) scored two goals in a span of 17 seconds late in the first half.  Clatanoff assisted on his first goal at 44:01 and junior Dave Matyger (Newark, Del./Christiana) at 44:18.

Stevens played its reserves for the entire second half.  Freshmen Christian Pontier (Forked River, N.J./Lacey) and Kazim Mirza (Upper Montclair, N.J./Montclair) scored in the 79th and 82nd minutes respectively.  Matyger capped the scoring when he headed in a cross from freshman Ilia Vovsha (Forest Hills, N.Y./Francis Lewis) in the 83rd minute.

Stevens held a 55-2 advantage in shots.  Goalkeeper John Phil made 15 saves for Centenary.  Three Stevens goalkeepers – senior Sean Stevenson (Scottsdale, Ariz./Brophy College Prep), freshman Chris Celentano (Newton, N.J./Newton) and Jorge DaSilva (Harrison, N.J./Harrison) – were untested in combining for the shutout for Stevens.
