Field Hockey wraps up season with a 5-0 loss to Brockport

HOBOKEN, N.J.—Kate Bennett and Courtney Squire tallied two goals a piece to lead the Golden Eagles past Stevens Institute of Technology field hockey team 5-0 on Sunday afternoon. With the loss, Stevens finishes its inaugural season 1-15. 

Brockport got on the board in the 24th minute when Cassandra Santoro set up Bennett to net her first goal of the game.  Bennett tallied her second goal three minutes later to give the Golden Eagles a 2-0 lead.  Erin Coyne notched a goal at the 28:45 mark and Squire totaled her first goal of the game with five minutes remaining in the half.

Lisa Wojdan assisted Squire on her second goal in the 51st minute to give Brockport a 5-0 advantage.

Sophomore Katherine Freed (Rutherford, NJ/Rutherford) recorded 16 saves in the game.
