HACKETTSTOWN, NJ – The Stevens Institute of Technology women’s soccer team scored a pair of second-half goals in the Ducks’ 2-0 victory over Centenary College in its regular-season finale Saturday afternoon in Hackettstown, NJ. The victory extends Stevens’ Skyline Conference winning streak to 37 matches, while improving them to 6-0 in the league and 16-2 overall. Stevens secured its sixth-straight Skyline Conference Championship and will host Farmingdale State in the semifinal round of the conference tournament on Wednesday, Nov. 2, at 7 p.m. at DeBaun Field in Hoboken, NJ.
Junior Siena York-Carr (Davis, CA) scored in the 60th minute off a corner kick from freshman Alison Amos (Plano, TX) to break the scoreless tie.
Stevens added an insurance goal in the 87th minute when Amos connected with sophomore Gina Crifasi (Staten Island, NY), who slotted through the defense and sent a shot that found the top-left corner of the goal above the outstretched arms of the Centenary goalkeeper for the score from 18 yards out.
Stevens dominated possession the entire contest, holding a 30-2 advantage in shots.
