HILTON HEAD, S.C. – Sophomores Diego Quintana (Berkeley Heights, N.J./Governor Livingston) and Boris Kocherov (Edison, N.J./Edison) earned the Ducks a win in the third doubles position, but the Stevens Institute of Technology men’s tennis team dropped a 5-2 decision to Centre on Thursday.
At third doubles, Quintana and Kocherov defeated Bennett Clark and Arion Smalley 8-5.
Junior Steve Su (Holmdel, N.J./Holmdel) opened up singles play with a win by default at the first singles position. At second singles freshman Ricky Bawa (North Bergen, N.J./Dwight-Englewood) cruised to a 7-5, 6-1 victory over David Hise.
Stevens is back in action when it hosts CCNY on Wednesday, March 30 at 3:30 p.m.
