HOBOKEN, N.J. (September 20, 2006) – Sophomore forward Jeremy Lippel (West Orange, N.J.) netted the game-winner as the Stevens Institute of Technology men’s soccer team defeated Farmingdale State University, 1-0, on Wednesday afternoon at DeBaun Field. With the win, the Ducks improved to 6-0-1 overall and 1-0 in the league. With the loss, the Rams dropped to 2-3-1 and 0-2 in the conference.

Lippel slipped the ball past Rams’ freshman goalie Joseph Caccavale (West Islip, N.Y.) to earn his second tally of the year.
The Ducks controlled possession the entire second half and had a chance to take a two goal advantage with 16 minutes remaining in the game. Junior midfielder Ryan Wilkison (Harrisburg, Pa.) ripped a shot from 25 yards out, but Caccavale made a diving save at the right post.
Stevens dominated the game and out-shot Farmingdale 22-0. The Ducks held a 9-1 advantage in corner kicks.
Lockhart led the Ducks’ offensive attack with five shots, while freshman forward Terrance Johnson (Slidell, La.) and senior midfielder Chris McGreevy (Rochester, Mich.) had four shots apiece.
