HOBOKEN, N.J. (September 13, 2008) – The No. 5 Stevens Institute of Technology men's soccer team fell to No. 23 Swarthmore College on Saturday afternoon at the De Baun Athletic Complex by a score of 2-0. The loss stops Stevens' home unbeaten streak at 62 games as the Ducks' last home loss was October 19, 2002 versus the United States Merchant Marine Academy. Swarthmore got one goal each from sophomore Morgan Langley (Honolulu, Hawaii) and junior Dylan Langley (Honolulu, Hawaii) in the win.

Stevens (5-1) struggled the entire game to get anything going on the offensive end as the Swarthmore defense was suffocating and extremely physical. The Garnet held a 16-10 advantage in shots and a 9-6 advantage in corners.

Sophomore goalkeeper Zach Carr (Carmel, Ind.) was in goal for the Ducks and took the loss. He made six saves on the day and allowed both goals. Junior Zachary Weimar (Rutledge, Pa.) was in goal for Swarthmore (4-0-1). He made three saves and got the win.

Morgan Langley scored the game's first goal 10:24 into the action as he ripped a shot from 24 yards out and snuck it past Carr in the lower right of the goal. Langley was about 24 yards out when he took the shot. Dylan Langley's goal came at the 62:32 mark of the second half. The junior controlled the ball in front after a rebound and was able to score.

Six yellow cards were handed out in a game that was very physical from the opening tap. Swarthmore was whistled for 12 fouls and the Ducks were whistled for six.

Junior Terrence Johnson put two shots on goal for the Ducks as they only put a total of three on net.

The Ducks will try and bounce back at Vassar College on Wednesday afternoon at 4 p.m. in what will be the first of three-straight road contests for Stevens.
