PITTSFORD, N.Y. (October 11, 2009) – Junior Katria Misilo netted her third marker of the season less than two minutes into the match to give the Stevens Institute of Technology women's soccer team an early 1-0 advantage, but the Ducks could not hold on, falling to Empire 8 rival St. John Fisher College at Growney Stadium in Pittsford, N.Y. Stevens is now 3-11-0 overall on the year with a 2-3-0 league ledger, while the Cardinals are now 5-7-1 on the season and 4-3-0 in conference action.

Misilo helped the Ducks race out to an early 1-0 lead when she went around senior goalkeeper Ashley Martin (Marcellus, N.Y.) and placed the ball in the lower left corner for her third goal of the season just 1:14 into the contest. St. John Fisher would respond by recording the next four shots of the contest, capped off by senior midfielder Mary Dougherty's (Liverpool, N.Y.) equalizer in the 20th minute off an assist by junior Megan Gee (Dansville, N.Y.).

Gee nearly gave the Cardinals the lead at 66:58 when she sent a shot off the crossbar before junior midfielder Sarah Bihl (Eden, N.Y.) broke the 1-1 tie in the 70th minute with her second marker of the season. Dougherty would make the game 3-1 in favor of the Cardinals in the 82nd minute, finding the back of the Ducks' net with a shot from over 30 yards out before closing out scoring with a header at the 85:00 mark.

St. John Fisher held a 14-9 shots advantage with a 4-1 edge in corner-kicks. Stevens will look to snap its three-game skid when it squares off with Utica College on October 17.
