ROCHESTER, N.Y (April 24, 2010) – The Stevens Institute of Technology men's tennis team extended its dual-match win-streak to six with a pair of 8-1 victories over Empire 8 rivals Nazareth College and Rochester Institute of Technology in Rochester, N.Y. Stevens improved to 16-2 on the season, with a 7-1 mark against conference opponents. The Ducks return to action on Wednesday, April 28 against The College of New Jersey.

Stevens freshman Shota Tasaki and junior Arik Zeevy headlined doubles play with an 8-1 top-flight singles victory over freshmen Ryan McCormick (Rochester, N.Y.) and Josh Mulligan (East Syracuse, N.Y.). Juniors Gregory Klose and Jason Ringstad defeated Nazareth's Adam Landry (Macedon, N.Y.) and Jeremy Mancus (Irvington, N.Y.) in second-flight doubles, 8-2. Junior Carlo Pardo and freshman Chris Rosensteel wrapped up the doubles sweep with an 8-0 victory in the third slot.
McCormick bested Tasaki, 6-2, 6-4, in No. 1 singles in the Golden Flyers' lone win of the day, while Rosensteel ousted Landry, 6-2, 6-0 in No. 2 singles. Zeevy earned a 6-1, 6-1, victory in No. 3 singles, while Ringstad downed Mulligan 6-2, 6-1, in No. 4 singles. Klose defeated Mancus 6-4, 6-4, in No. 5 singles, with Pardo closing out play with a 7-5, 6-4, win in No. 6 singles.

Tasaki and Zeevy scored an 8-3 win in top-flight doubles over sophomore Clayton Tontarski (Rochester, N.Y.) and freshman Neville Bilimoria. Klose and Ringstad bested senior John Traver (Clifton Park, N.Y.) and freshman Will Abisalih (Merrimac, Mass.), 9-7, in second-flight doubles, while Rosensteel and freshman Derek Smith wrapped up doubles play with an 8-5 third-flight doubles victory.
Tasaki notched a 6-2, 6-0, win over Traver in No. 1 singles, while Rosensteel ousted Bilimoria, 6-2, 6-2, in No. 2 singles. Zeevy and Ringstad earned victories in No. 3 and No. 4 singles, respectively, while Klose captured a 6-2, 6-2, victory in No. 5 singles. Junior Joshua Goldstein (Miami, Fla.) collected the Tigers' lone victory with a 6-3, 5-7, 14-12 triumph in No. 6 singles.
