Box Score NEWARK, N.J. (October 16, 2012) – The Stevens Institute of Technology men's soccer program, which moved up to No. 7 in the NSCAA poll on Tuesday, racked up its third-consecutive shutout and 11th-straight victory overall in a 1-0 win over Rutgers-Newark on Tuesday night. Stephen Dunbar (Johns Creek, Ga.) scored the only goal of the match with an assist from Joe Cellitti (Mendham, N.J.).

In the 36th minute, freshman forward Joe Cellitti raced side-by-side with a Scarlet Raider defender down the left half to control a through ball before the Rutgers-Newark player stumbled to the turf. Cellitti dribbled the ball near the goal line on the left side and fired a high shot which freshman goalkeeper Matt Broomall (Somers Point, N.J.) leaped to deflect on the left side of the goal. Dunbar was waiting alone on the right side of the box to head the rebound in off the deflection.

Junior Paul Killian (Ellicott City, Md.) personally earned his third-straight shutout and made three saves on the night. Curtis Stecyk (Sayville, N.Y.) led the Ducks with five shots in the game.

Stevens rode a 10-2 edge in shots in the first half to a 17-10 advantage for the match.
The Ducks also held a 4-3 lead in corner kicks.

Stevens will be back in action on Saturday in an Empire 8 tilt at St. John Fisher College at noon.
