HOBOKEN, N.J. (November 12, 2012) – The Stevens Institute of Technology wrestling team opens up its 2012 home schedule on Wednesday night at 7 p.m. against The College of New Jersey in Walker Gymnasium for the squad's Duck Country event. Stevens enters the matched ranked 30th in the nation, while TCNJ is 26th nationally according to the National Coaches Wrestling Association preseason poll.

The Ducks defeated TCNJ, 26-16, last season for the program's first-ever victory against the Lions in a 13-7 campaign. Senior All-American Joey Favia (Brick, N.J.) brings a perfect 5-0 record into the match after a flawless weekend at the Roger Williams Invitational on November 10. Favia recorded two major decision victories en route to his first place finish in the 165-lb. weight class.

Stevens finished eighth as a team at the invitational with 81.5 points. Sophomores Mike Polizzi (Montville, N.J.) and Conner Bass (Westhampton, N.Y.) placed third and fifth, respectively, in the 149 and 157-lb. weight classes.
