SWARTHMORE, Pa. (February 25, 2012) – The Stevens Institute of Technology men's tennis team dropped an 8-1 decision to Swarthmore College in Pennsylvania on Saturday afternoon in the Ducks' first dual match of the 2012 season. The junior tandem of Chris Rosensteel (East Windsor, N.J.) and Shota Tasaki (Greenwich, Conn.) won first singles 9-8, (7) for the Ducks.

Though Rosensteel and Tasaki won an epic match to begin the day, the rest of the squad did not fare as well. The Garnet won the rest of Saturday's matches, including all of the singles parings.

Tasaki forced three sets at second singles but the rest of the matches were settled in straight sets.
The Ducks will return to the court on Wednesday, when they travel to Haverford College for a 4 p.m. matchup on the 29th.
