HOBOKEN, N.J. (November 5, 2015) – The Stevens Institute of Technology field hockey team will be seeking its first conference title since 2010 this weekend when it travels to Ithaca for the 2015 Empire 8 Conference Championship.
CHAMPIONSHIP INFOThird-seeded Stevens will play second-seeded St. John Fisher College Friday at 6 p.m. for the right to play either top-seeded Ithaca College, or fourth-seeded Washington & Jefferson University.
DUCKS VS THE FIELDStevens went 1-2 against the three teams in the field, including a 2-0 shutout over W&J on Sep. 26.
HISTORY LESSONThe Ducks are making their eighth consecutive appearance in the championship where they've gone 7-4 with four finals appearances.

Dailyn Brook and junior
Nolie Prouty were named first team all-conference Wednesday, while sophomore
Victoria Alvarez was named to the second team.
LEADERS OF THE QUACKAlvarez and Brook led the Ducks in goals and points this season with 11 and 29, and 10 and 26 respectively.
STAYING BALANCEDThe Ducks have seen eight different players score goals this season, including five who've scored at least five.
TABLE-SETTERWith two assists in Saturday's regular season finale, Prouty pushed her season total to a team and conference-leading 11. The total is the fourth most for an individual in single-season program history.
FINISHING STRONGJunior
Taylor Welch has scored or assisted in five of the Ducks final six games this season, including a career-high five-point-performance in
Saturday's finale.
UNCHARTERED MILESTONEJunior
Emily Stukenborg became the first goalie in program history to reach
400 career saves in last Saturday's 5-1 win over Elmira College.
