BROOKLYN, N.Y. (DECEMBER 2, 2015) – The Stevens Institute of Technology women's basketball team knocked off Brooklyn College 60-36 Wednesday.

The Ducks rolled off their second straight victory and evened their mark at 2-2, while Brooklyn fell to 4-3.

The Bulldogs scored the first four points of the contest thanks to a pair of layups, but the Ducks countered with a 9-0 run, with four different players recording points. Junior guard Erica Guketlov scored four of team-high 15 points in the opening 10 minutes. 

The hosts once again scored the opening four points of the second frame, cutting the Stevens lead to one point. The Ducks countered with seven straight markers, capped off by a trey from Guketlov. A layup by sophomore forward Anna Toke gave Stevens its biggest lead of the opening half, stretching the lead to 16 with 32 seconds in the period.

The Ducks held Brooklyn to 32% shooting in the opening half, and forced nine turnovers. The second half was more of the same, as Brooklyn only connected on eight field goals over the final 20 minutes. Stevens only had three second half turnovers, compared to their opponents 12.

Nine different players scored points for the Ducks, who received 10 points, four rebounds and four assists from Toke. Junior guard Daphne Ginn had eight points off bench and connected on a pair of three-pointers, while freshmen Megan Anderson and Elena Sanchez scored their first collegiate points in the final period.

Alexandra Moogan had eight points for the Bulldogs, who also got seven points and six assists from Taylor Gallagher.

The Ducks open up their home portion of the schedule with a 2 p.m. matinee on Saturday against Vassar College.
