Field Hockey Looks To Build On Wednesday Win This Weekend

HOBOKEN, N.J. (September 11, 2015) – The Stevens Institute of Technology field hockey team will host St. John Fisher College and The College at Brockport this weekend as it looks to build a win streak.

GAME INFO
The Ducks will kick-off their weekend with an Empire 8 Conference match against St. John Fisher at 10 a.m. Saturday, before concluding with a 10 a.m. match on Sunday against Brockport. 

Both games will take place at the De Baun Athletic Complex.

LAST TIME OUT
After falling behind 2-0 in the first half Wednesday night against Drew University, the Ducks responded with a 5-0 run in the second to complete the 5-2 win. 

FEELS LIKE HOME
The Ducks are 3-1 in their last four home games, outscoring opponents 12-2 in the wins.

BACK TO THE EMPIRE
Stevens went 6-4 in conference last season en route to an appearance in the E8 Championship semifinal. Going into action on Saturday, the Ducks have won three out of their last four regular-season conference games. 

IT TAKES TWO
Sophomore Victoria Alvarez and senior Dailyn Brook recorded their first multi-goal games of the season in Wednesday's win over Drew. Alvarez had four such games last season, while Brook tallied one.

STONEWALL STUKENBORG
Junior Emily Stukenborg has 13 saves through the first two games of the season, and has faced a total of 35 shots. In the season-opener, Stukenborg became Stevens' all-time saves leader.
