Men’s Soccer Looks To Continue Momentum At Vassar

HOBOKEN, N.J. (September 15, 2015) – Coming off a thrilling 1-0 win over No. 15 Muhlenberg College Sunday, the Stevens Institute of Technology men's soccer team is looking to continue the momentum Wednesday at Vassar College.

Match time is set for 4 p.m. at Gordon Field in Poughkeepsie. 

LAST TIME OUT
After over 80 minutes of scoreless soccer, senior Colin Phillips connected on a goal off a free-kick to send the Ducks on their way to the 1-0 win over Muhlenberg. 

BIG GAME DUCKS
With Sunday's win, the Ducks are 5-0-0 in their last five regular season matches against ranked opponents.

INSIDE THE SERIES
Vassar and Stevens matched-up every season from 2005-2009, with the Ducks winning each time by a combined score of 20-1. In their first meeting since 2009 last fall, the Ducks won 2-0 in Hoboken.

MILESTONE TRACKER
Senior Carson Pryor's next goal will be the 30th of his career, while Phillips needs three scores to reach 20.

SCOUTING REPORT
Vassar enters the match with a 2-1-2 record, and is coming off a 1-1 tie with No. 3 SUNY Oneonta. Tom Wiechert leads the team with four goals and 10 points, while keeper Adam Warner has eight saves.

NETMINDER
Junior Mike Renna made one save in the Ducks Sunday win, giving him his 12th career shutout in just his second year as the starting keeper.
