HOBOKEN, N.J. (September 17, 2015) – The No. 25 Stevens Institute of Technology men's tennis team will open the fall portion of its schedule Sunday with a home match against No. 23 Wesleyan University.
MATCH INFOMatch time is set for 1 p.m. Sunday on the Stevens tennis courts.
YEAR IN REVIEWThe Ducks won a program record 19 matches last spring in a grueling schedule that included 10 nationally-ranked opponents. The season culminated with a sixth consecutive Empire 8 Conference championship, and an appearance in the second round of the NCAA Tournament.
BACK IN QUACKJunior
Charles Drake, senior
Matthew Heinrich, and freshman
Danny Polk combined for 41 singles wins last season, while the doubles teams of Heinrich and senior
Ben Foran, and Drake and Polk each tallied 12 victories.
The Ducks also return sophomores

Antonio Perich, and senior
Jacob Thigpen.
DUCKLINGSFreshmen
Kyle Cenderelli and
Divin Sarthak comprise the Stevens new-comers this season, and both will be looking to break into the lineup.
HEAD DUCKHead coach
Steve Gachko was named the Intercollegiate Tennis Association's national coach of the year last spring, and is the all-time winningest coach in the history of the program.
ALL-AMERICANHeinrich continued to pile-up the accolades last season with his E8 player of the year award, ITA Northeast singles and doubles championships, CoSIDA First Team Academic All-American nod, and NCAA All-American nod with a win in the individual championship.
SCOUTING REPORTWesleyan won six matches last season in a schedule that included numerous opponents ranked in the ITA top-40, and returns All-Americans Michael Liu and Steven Chen.
