HOBOKEN, N.J. (January 2, 2016) – The Stevens Institute of Technology men's basketball team will return to the court Sunday at Ithaca College for the first of two Empire 8 Conference road games in-a-row.
ROAD TRIPThe Ducks Sunday matchup starts at 2 p.m., followed by a Monday road game at Elmira College tipping-off at the same time.
REWINDA three game losing streak to end 2015 evened the Ducks record at 4-4 after a four-game win streak highlighted the early part of the schedule.
LEAGUE IMPORTANCESunday marks the start of the E8 portion of the schedule for Stevens as the Ducks are seeking a return trip to the conference championship. Last year's absence from the four-team field was the first for Stevens since 2009.
SCOUTING REPORTLike Stevens, Sunday's game will be the first of the New Year for Ithaca (6-2) after the Bombers won five of six to close out 2015. Elmira (2-7) is coming off a win in the Salem State Holiday Classic Wednesday, and is led in scoring by Hayden Harkins (13.0 ppg.)
SERIES HISTORYThe Ducks split their matchups last season with both Ithaca and Elmira, but are 13-3 combined over the last four seasons against the pair.
LIGHTING-UP BEN LIGHTSunday will mark the Ducks first game at Ithaca's Ben Light Gymnasium since the team's 125-120 double-overtime win last season. Sophomore

DOUBLE TROUBLEJuniors
Patrick Barron and
Evan Klimchak lead the Ducks in scoring at 23.1 and 21.3 points per game respectively this season, making them the highest scoring duo in the E8. Stevens is the only team in the conference to feature two scorers averaging over 20 points per game.
PAINT PRESENCESenior
Alex Lorenz has provided the Ducks with a steady force in the paint this season, averaging 13.8 points and 8.8 rebounds per game. Freshman
Ryan Coffey has also made his own impact with 8.5 boards per game.
THEY SHOOT, THEY SCOREThe Ducks are tops in the conference at 92.8 points per game, placing them 14th in the nation in scoring.
