Hoboken, N.J. – The Stevens Institute of Technology men's basketball team has been recognized by the National Association of Basketball Coaches (NABC) as a recipient of the 14th annual Team Academic Excellence Award, the organization announced Thursday.
Created by the NABC Committee on Academics, the Team Academic Excellence Award honors outstanding academic achievement by teams with a cumulative grade-point average (GPA) of 3.0 or better for the 2025–26 season. To be eligible for the award, institutions in the NCAA, NAIA, and NJCAA must include the GPAs of all men's basketball student-athletes who competed during the season.
Over 2,300 players earned spots on the NABC Honors Court and over 400 programs received NABC Team Academic Excellence Awards for 2025-26

Grant Sloan were named to the NABC Honors Court. To earn a place on the Honors Court, a student-athlete must meet the following academic criteria:
- Be an academically eligible junior or senior and a varsity player;
- Hold a cumulative GPA of 3.2 or higher at the conclusion of the 2025–26 academic year;
- Have matriculated at least one year at their current institution;
- Be a member of an NCAA Division I, II, III, or NAIA Division I or II program with an NABC member coach.
