HOBOKEN, N.J. (October 29, 2016) – The Stevens Institute of Technology men's swimming team dropped a 140-122 decision to Rowan Saturday.
The 200-medley team of
Sam Fuller,
Alex Chen,
Austen Young and
Ethan Gehenio started with a second place time of 1;35.7, while
William Arnott won the 1,000 free in 9:59.19. In their collegiate debuts,
Trevor Hinds and
Tristan Dixon finished third and fourth in the 200-free.
Gehenion won the 100-backstroke by .8 seconds, clocking in at 53.57, while reigning Empire 8 Conference Rookie of the Year
Vincent Tavoletti claimed first in the 200-fly with a mark of 1:56.99. Senior Matt Burk, freshman
Jonas Lackey and senior
Spenser Swanton scored points in the 50-free, placing second, third and fourth respectively.
Arnott grabbed another victory in the 500-free, with Tavoletti and Young nabbed the top two spots in the 100-fly. Chris Ludeke and
Chris Rudel finished 1-2 in the 200-IM, while the 400 yard relay team of Gehenion, Lackey, Hinds and
Daniel Rosenberger finished second.
