Women’s Lacrosse Set For Florida Matchup With Fredonia

HOBOKEN, N.J. (March 19, 2016) - The Stevens Institute of Technology women's lacrosse team will look to end its two-game skid Monday when it plays Fredonia State in Florida.

GAME INFO
Game time is set for 10 a.m. on Stadium Field at the G.T. Bray Park in Bradenton, Fla.

LAST TIME OUT
The Ducks fell to Montclair State University, 10-9 Wednesday afternoon in Hoboken in a triple-overtime classic. Senior Erika Wilcox led all scorers with five goals, while sophomore Cami Santor added two goals and two assists.

SCOUTING REPORT
At 1-2, Fredonia enters its game against Rowan University on Friday 1-2 with a win last week against Denison University. Kristie Kleine is the Blue Devils leader in scoring with eight goals, while Nicole Burrows has 25 saves while playing every minute in goal this season.

STREAK STOPPERS
Stevens is 3-0 in its last three games following two-game losing streaks.

LEADING THE EMPIRE
With five more goals Wednesday, Wilcox extended her conference-leading goal total to 19 this season.

DUCKS QB
Described as the quarterback as the Stevens attack in the preseason, Santor has lived up to the billing this spring with a team-leading 11 assists. The total is good for second in the Empire 8 Conference.

DUCKS D
Led by six caused turnovers from sophomore Victoria Alvarez, the Stevens defensive unit comprised mainly of junior Betsy Crossland, senior Madison Annitto, and freshman Regan Littell is holding opponents to seven goals per game.

BACK TO FLA
Monday's game will be the first in Florida for the Ducks since they went 1-1 in 2013 with a win against Wheaton College.

STOPPER
Sophomore Stephanie Schnelzer leads the E8 with 32 saves, and is top-three in goals against average, saves per game, and save percentage.
