CLERMONT, Fla. (March 22, 2016) – The No. 12 Stevens Institute of Technology men's lacrosse team dropped an 11-7 decision to Bowdoin College Tuesday.

The Ducks fell to 6-2, while Bowdoin improved to 4-1.

Stevens started the game off with a man-advantage 46 seconds into the game, and opened the scoring at 1:02, as senior Andrew Scrutchfield buried a man-up goal. Just over a minute later, it was senior Matt Ferentini who doubled the Ducks lead. After Bowdin scored the next two, Ferentini buried his second of the game. However with time winding down, Brandon Lee of Bowdoin scored the equalizer to enter the second tied at three.

Senior Connor O'Shea scored two goals in a 47 second span in the second frame to put the Ducks back in front by two. Bowdoin would score the next five to bridge the second and third quarters, before Ferentini completed his hat trick, netting a man-up goal.

The Polar Bears reestablished the three goal edge heading into the final quarter, scoring with 15 seconds left. Bowdoin would also tally the first two goals of the fourth, before John Boutureira capped the Ducks scoring with 3:14 left.
Ferentini would lead the Ducks with 12 shots, while senior Brett Incollingo went 13-for-20 on faceoffs, tallying six ground balls. Senior Tim Fair was active on the defensive end, forcing six turnovers. Freshman Carson White made eight saves in the setback.

Bowdoin had five players with multiple goals, with Peter Mumford making 14 saves in the win.

The Ducks will return home Saturday, taking on Alfred University in the Empire 8 Conference opener.
