The Basics

• Score: No. 6 Johns Hopkins University-178, No. 20 Stevens Institute of Technology-84
• Location: Schaefer Center Pool-Hoboken, N.J.
• Short Story: The No. 20 Stevens Institute of Technology women's swimming team earned three first-place finishes, but fell to No. 6 Johns Hopkins, 178-84, at the Schaefer Center Pool Saturday afternoon.
• Also of note: Before the meet, four student-athletes were honored as the women's swimming Class of 2017.

Top Finishers

• Senior Danielle Caruso continued her outstanding final season, earning a first-place finish in the 200-yard freestyle, besting the field by nearly three seconds.
• Junior Sarah Jurczyk also earned first-place points for the Ducks, defeating the field in the 200-yard butterfly. She also finished in second place in the 100-yard butterfly.
• Caruso earned the final victory for women's swimming, defeating the field in the 500-yard freestyle race. The senior bested the field by nearly 10 seconds.
• Sophomore Courtney Jones earned the first second-place finish for Stevens, narrowly besting Lindsay Kriz to finish behind Caruso in the 200-yard freestyle. 
• Senior Claire Hendershot earned four points with a second-place finish in the 200-yard backstroke with a time of 2:15.13.
