NEWARK, N.J. (October 17, 2017)  – No. 19 Rutgers-Newark University scored a pair of first-half goals to hand the Stevens Institute of Technology men's soccer team a 2-0 loss Tuesday evening.

Breno Lustosa scored his first goal of the season in the 30th minute, to give the nationally-ranked Scarlet Raiders a 1-0 lead. Ariel Parada found the back of the net nine minutes later to give the hosts a two-goal cushion.

Andres Medina made four saves to earn the victory for Rutgers-Newark, who improved to 16-2 on the season. The sophomore goalkeeper ranged well to his right to save a Patrick Boylan penalty kick in the 87th minute to preserve his 12th clean sheet of the season.

Junior Aaron Henry made five saves for the Ducks, who fell to 8-5-2. The contest marked the final non-conference match of the season for Stevens.
