No. 38 Men's Tennis falls at Swarthmore

Short Story: No. 38 Stevens Institute of Technology men's tennis team dropped two of the three doubles flights and fell at Swarthmore College, 5-4, Sunday in a non-conference match.
The records: Stevens: 2-8; Swarthmore: 2-9

How It Happened

The Ducks dropped the first two doubles flights.
Stevens was able to get onto the board when William Persson and Divin Sarthak earned a victory in No. 3 doubles.
Swarthmore picked up straight-set victories at first and second singles.
Michael Feldman was able to win the opening set at No. 3 singles, but fell to Simon Vernier in three sets.
The Ducks earned victories at No. 4, No. 5 and No. 6 singles. William Persson, David Schulz and Kyle Cenderelli did not drop a set in earning three points.

"Over the last few years, we've had a lot of close battles with Swarthmore. Today, we were on the losing end of a 5-4 match. We didn't come out sharp enough in doubles today and our top half of the singles lineup struggled to pull out a win. I'm hopeful this tough loss will motivate us to work that much harder this week."
