WEST POINT, N.Y. (January 20, 2018) – The Stevens Institute of Technology fencing team's sabre squad led by Michelle Drobish, Karen Kong and Julia Yang went a remarkable 45-0 as the Ducks dominated all five teams they fenced at West Point on Saturday. Stevens defeated Army, Lafayette College, Caltech, Hunter College and the City College of New York.

The Ducks are now 13-2 on the year.
 
All five matches were shellackings; the story was the dominance of the sabre squad.

• All three aforementioned sabreists – Drobish, Kong and Yang – went 12-0 for the day. 

The story was similar at the other weapons.

• Abby Kaye was 11-1 at foil and Allison Urban-Spillane was 8-1 there.
• Nicole Strezewski won 13 bouts and Caitlin Uang was 7-1 as well.

 
At epee,

• Julie McEldoon and Erin Hatcher led the way with perfect 9-0 records.
• Kellie Vertetis was 7-3.

 
The closest team score was a 21-6 blowout of Lafayette. The Ducks shutout their West Coast rivals from Caltech 27-0.
 
Stevens will return to action at their Alumni Meet on Sunday inside Walker Gym at 10 a.m.
