UTICA, N.Y. (January 25, 2019)  – Graduate student Anna Toke recorded her third-straight double-double and sixth of the season with 11 points and 10 rebounds as the Stevens Institute of Technology women's basketball team defeated Empire 8 opponent Utica College Friday evening on the road.
 
Sophomore Christina Li tallied eight points while classmates Maddi Hahn and Lily Taeuber each chipped in seven points for the Ducks, who improved to 12-6 this season and 7-2 in the E8. 
 
Sydney Pryzgoda registered game-highs of 13 points and 17 rebounds for the Pioneers, who fell to 6-11 on the year and 1-7 in conference play. 
 
The Ducks opened the game with a 15-0 run, capped off by a three from Hahn. Nicolette Conkin ended the streak with two good free throws to put Utica on the board. Toke finished the first quarter with a good layup after a pass from freshman Vanessa Elliott.
 
Turning Point

• The Ducks were able to grab an early lead after holding Utica to four points in the first quarter. 

 
Inside the Numbers

• Elliott and classmate Kristin Tribel each knocked down their first collegiate three-pointers.
• 12 different players scored for the Ducks. 
• Li dished out a game-high five assists. 
• Stevens blocked a season-high 11 shots.

• The Ducks knocked down six shots from behind the arc.
