Jess Broad tallied a team-high 15 points on 7-of-10 shooting and a career-best six assists as the Stevens Institute of Technology women's basketball team topped Elmira 71-48 Saturday afternoon in Empire 8 action.
Sophomores
Maddi Hahn and
Christina Li chipped in 14 and 10 points, respectively, while graduate student
Anna Toke pulled down a game-high 13 rebounds for the Ducks. Today's win marks Stevens' sixth-straight to improve to 13-6 on the year and 8-2 in the conference.
The Soaring Eagles were led by Lindsey Heaton with a game-high 20 points and Rachel Vespucci with a team-high 10 rebounds. Elmira falls to 4-12 this season and 0-7 in E8 play.
Turning Point
- Elmira held the lead for the majority of the first quarter before a fastbreak layup by Hahn put the Ducks up 8-7.
- Stevens closed out the first quarter on a 10-0 run to give themselves a comfortable lead.

- Freshman Allie Moss registered career-highs of six steals and six assists.
- The Stevens bench contributed 56 points.
- Toke tied her career-high of five blocks.
- The Ducks finished 9-of-11 from the charity stripe.
