Men’s Soccer Plays to Scoreless Draw with Misericordia in MAC Freedom Opener

Boriotti makes three saves as Stevens earns draw in MAC Freedom opener.

DALLAS, Pa. (October 5, 2019)  – Junior goalkeeper Aedan Boriotti made three saves in posting his fourth clean sheet of the season as the Stevens Institute of Technology men's soccer team played to a scoreless draw with Misericordia University Saturday, in a MAC Freedom fixture played at Mangelsorf Field.

The Sea Girt, New Jersey native made a pair of saves in the second half and one more in the second overtime period to post the shutout. Despite Boriotti's prowess in net, the Ducks were unable to solve Dominic Pizzi, who made eight saves in spinning his first clean sheet of the season/

Stevens saw its record drop to 6-3-2 and to 0-0-1 in MAC Freedom play.

Junior Aedan Boriotti stopped a career-high eight shots for the Ducks, who dropped their second straight in falling to 6-3-1. Stevens has played to at least two ties every season since 2014.

Misericordia fell to 3-4-3 and to 0-0-1 in conference matches.

Turning Point
