Aedan Boriotti made a pair of saves for the Ducks, who won their sixth straight match to improve to 12-3-2 on the year and 6-0-1 in conference matches. The Sea Girt, New Jersey native posted his seventh clean sheet of the year to lower his conference-leading goals-against average to 0.739. The victory secured the MAC Freedom regular-season title for Stevens, in its first season in the conference. Dating back to the program's time in the Empire 8, the Ducks have finished first in the regular season in nine of the last 10 seasons. Stevens moved to 2-0-1 all-time against Eastern.
Anthony Hitchcock made four saves for Eastern, who fell to 9-9-1 on the year. The Eagles concluded their final season of MAC Freedom competition 5-2. The Eagles will host Misericordia University in the other conference semifinal Wednesday evening in St. Davids. The team has reached the MAC Freedom championship in each of the last five seasons.
It was the first meeting between the programs that did not take place in the NCAA Tournament and the second match contested in Hoboken. The teams met in both the 2005 and 2007 NCAA Tournament.
Turning Point
- After a scoreless first half, the Ducks were awarded a corner kick near the end of the 56th minute.
- After the referee chatted briefly with Curtis and an Eastern defender, Andino sent the service towards the six-yard box.
- The six-foot-three Curtis rose above the pack and headed the ball across the mouth of the goal into bottom-right corner of the goal.
Inside the Numbers
- In match played mostly in the midfield, the teams combined for 11 shots, with Stevens outshooting Eastern, 8-3, although two of the Eagles' three shots registered on-frame.
- Sophomores Sean Masur and Matthew Pinho each fired off a match-high two shots.
- After not earning a corner kick in the first half, Stevens earned seven in the second half to finish with a 7-4 edge in the statistic.

- Stevens extended its winning streak to six matches. It's the second six-match winning streak of the season.
Unsung Heroes
- The backline of Curtis, Pinho, sophomore Gianni Falvo and freshman Fritz Kabeiseman prevented Eastern from coming forward. The team held the Eagles' leading scorer, Derek Buhrman to a single shot.
