Jess Broad registered 15 points on 7-of-8 shooting as the Stevens Institute of Technology women's basketball team earned their fourth straight Empire 8 Conference victory with a 65-51 win over The Sage Colleges Thursday evening at Kahl Gym.

Anna Toke added 10 point for the Ducks while junior
Emily Nunez finished 3-for-3 from three-point range, ending the night with a career-high nine points. Stevens improved to 17-7 on the year and 12-3 in E8 play.
The Gators were led by Megan Flynn with a game-high 17 points. Emily Parslow chipped in 15 points as Sage fell to 12-12 this season and 7-7 in the conference.Â
The first quarter started with the teams trading baskets. Stevens then went on a 10-0 run that was sparked by three straight buckets from sophomore
Sam Winter. Freshman
Allie Moss continued the streak with a good layup, followed by free throws from sophomores
Maddi Hahn and
Lily Taeuber to give the Ducks an eight point lead heading into the second quarter.Â
Inside the Numbers
- The Ducks finished the contest with a season-best 52% field goal percentage.
- Madasyn Bush grabbed a game-high eight rebounds.
- Moss led Stevens with four steals.Â
- Broad and classmate Meghan Douglas each dished out four assists.
- Moss, Winter and Hahn each tallied eight points.
- Broad led the Ducks on the boards with seven.Â
- Toke finished 4-for-4 from the charity stripe.Â
- The Gators outscored Stevens in the fourth quarter, 21-11.
- Sage scored 14 second-chance points, while the Ducks only totaled four.Â

- "I was proud of the chemistry we played with on offense tonight," said head coach Megan Haughey. "Ball movement, extra passes, and crashing made the offense fun to watch tonight."
