HOBOKEN, N.J. (November 12, 2020)  – In its second year, the Stevens Institute of Technology Department of Athletics #AllRise Challenge was a rousing success, despite the challenges presented by the ongoing national pandemic. Thanks to 973 supportive owners, the Ducks' athletic programs were able to raise $80,510, nearly doubling the total from the inaugural #AllRise Challenge one year ago.

Additionally, an additional $25,500 in bonus dollars were unlocked through a series of match challenges, leading to a total of $106,010 for the department's programs. Finally, with 383 alumni donors supporting the campaign, a generous donation of $15,000 from Henry P. Dobbelaar, Jr., P.E. was unlocked for the Stevens Athletics Fund.

"I would like to thank all alumni, family, and friends of Stevens who contributed to the #AllRise Challenge, and recognize the generosity of Hank Dobbelaar and Joe DiPompeo '98 for sponsoring our match challenges," said Director of Athletics Russell Rogers. "The hard work of our coaches to make #AllRise a success shows what a special group we have at Stevens."

"The level of dollars we were able to raise and the number of unique donors is representative of the outstanding support for our student-athletes and Stevens Athletics," Rogers added. "Thank you again to all who believe in and support the Ducks!"

The first challenge was the Most Unique Donors bonus, awarded to the sport that secures the most gifts from any constituency (alumni, students, parents, staff, faculty, friends) by conclusion of the challenge. With 201 donors, Wrestling earned this bonus.

The second challenge was the Highest Alumni Participation Rate bonus, awarded to the sport with the greatest/highest alumni participation rate by the conclusion of the challenge. With an alumni participation rate of 39%, Wrestling also earned this bonus.

The third challenge was the Greatest Number of Alumni Donors bonus, sponsored by men's lacrosse alumnus Joe DiPompeo '98, awarded to the sport with the greatest number of alumni donors by the conclusion of the challenge. With 99 alumni donors, Men's Lacrosse earned this bonus.

The fourth and final challenge was the Most Overall Dollars bonus, awarded to the sport who raises the most overall dollars by the conclusion of the challenge. With a total dollar amount of $17,956, Wrestling earned this bonus.

Each sport received donations from at least nine unique individuals and nine had at least 25 donors. Additionally, fifteen sports raised at least $1,000 and all sports raised at least $600, in helping the department reach its fundraising goals.

Finally, through the generosity of 54 donors, the Stevens Athletics Fund raised a total of $7,521.
