BALTIMORE (March 7, 2020) - The Stevens Institute of Technology baseball team fell 7-0 at the hands of Johns Hopkins University Saturday on the road as they faced off against their third ranked team in the last seven games.

Schaefer allowed just two hits in 5.0 innings of shutout baseball while Offman took over in the sixth and struck out nine of the 13 batters he faced on the evening as he closed the contest to earn the save.
Junior Nate Zuckerman registered a hit to extend his hitting streak to six games while sophomore Tom James was unable to produce a hit for the first time this season as his hitting streak is halted at nine games.
In his first action of the 2020 season, sophomore Ryan Wall registered a hit while coming off the bench and was the lone Stevens player to produce a hit against Offman in the contest.
Sutton Dole was the other Stevens player to produce a hit in the loss as he hit an infield single in the fifth for his seventh hit of the season.
JHU stated the scoring with an RBI ground-rule double from Chris Festa in the third inning to go up 1-0.
The big blow from the Blue Jays came in the fifth as Austin Sacks ripped a two-RBI single to right and was subsequently brought home on an RBI single by James Ingram.
The Blue Jays tacked on another run in the sixth on an RBI single and produced two more in the eighth after Matt Ritchie tripled to right-center field.
