INDIANAPOLIS (Oct. 27, 2021) – All four fall team sports for the Stevens Institute of Technology athletic department found themselves ranked inside the top-five of their respective regional rankings released by the NCAA Wednesday.
Field hockey, women's soccer, men's soccer and women's volleyball have all produced solid efforts this season to be the only institution in the MAC Freedom to have all four programs regionally ranked.
The women's volleyball program earned the highest ranking of the four as they sit second in Region IV with a 22-5 overall record. The Ducks are the only team in the MAC Freedom featured in the rankings and sit only behind No. 12 New York University in the region with wins over five regionally ranked teams thus far this season.
The men's soccer program currently sits fourth in Region IV with an 8-6-1 overall record. The Ducks are the highest ranked team in the MAC Freedom and have played seven matches against regionally ranked teams this season with a pair of victories and a tie in those contests.
Women's soccer's 7-5-3 record has them ranked fifth in Region IV at this point in the season. Stevens is the second-highest ranked team in the conference and has seen action against eight teams in the regional rankings with a pair of victories and two ties on those matchups.
Field hockey, finally, ranks fifth in Region IV with their 12-3 record thus far. The Ducks sit just one spot behind Misericordia in the rankings despite defeating the Cougars earlier this season and have faced off with a pair of regionally ranked teams this season with a 1-1 record.
Overall, Stevens joins Messiah University as the only institution in the entire Middle Atlantic Conference with all four teams in the regional rankings.
