HOBOKEN, N.J. (April 24, 2021) – Led by a fantastic performance in doubles competition, the Stevens Institute of Technology women's tennis team earned an 8-1 victory over DeSales University Saturday to remain undefeated on the year.
The Ducks won all three doubles points and five of the six singles matchups in the competition to move to 5-0 this season and 3-0 in the MAC Freedom while the Bulldogs dropped to 6-2 overall and 3-2 in conference play.
"Today was a special day as we celebrated our seniors and got an important conference win," head coach
Arik Zeevy said. "We're so grateful to have the opportunity to play home matches in front of friends and family. We hope to get more opportunities to do so in the coming weeks."
Stevens joins Wilkes (5-0 MAC Freedom) as the only two teams in the conference with an unblemished record as they sit in first and second in the conference standings, respectively.
