HOBOKEN, N.J, (April 13, 2022) – The Stevens Institute of Technology women's tennis team extended their winning streak to three with a sweep of FDU-Florham Wednesday in a MAC Freedom matchup at the Stevens Tennis Court.
With the victory, Stevens improved to 5-4 overall and a perfect 3-0 in MAC Freedom play. FDU-Florham dropped to 5-3 on the year and to 1-1 in league play. Stevens has won the last seven meetings between the programs.

The Ducks won the first two doubles matches convincingly and earned a victory by forfeit on line three. They then dropped only five games in singles play, winning all five of the contested matches in straight sets.

Agatha Malinowski and junior
Audrey Heaberlin won 8-3 at first doubles and then senior
Alexis Fuda and first-year
Isabella Dona won 8-0 from the second spot. At third, the Ducks won via forfeit.

Singles moved quickly and Malinowski won in the first position (6-1, 6-0), Heaberlin won from the second spot (6-1, 6-2) and Fuda won at third (6-0, 6-0). Sophomore
Polina Odintseva won 6-0, 6-1 and Dona won 6-0, 6-0 at fourth and fifth singles, respectively. Stevens won the final singles match by forfeit.

Up Next: The Ducks have a week off before they take on Arcadia at home on Saturday, April 20. The match is set to start at 4 p.m. on the Stevens Tennis Courts.
